Lee’s focus is helping relationships thrive in the middle of all of the chaos that surrounds life today.  This can be oh so challenging with the stresses that come with relationships —money, kids, in-laws AND THEN to consider issues within the relationship — …… These things can bring you to the point of crisis. Journey

Lee is ready to help you. He has been working with couples for the past 26 years (especially in the military), and in Jacksonville since 2009. He has vast experience with the military community having served Army, Navy, and Marines — 35 years in uniform experiencing individuals, couples and families in some of the most stressful and trying times of life.

Experience

Lee has years of experience with the Prevention and Relationship Education Program  (PREP), and training in  Gottman techniques, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as ‘RelateWell’ and other evidenced-based couples and family therapy theories and interventions. He is a certified Discernment Counselor, a method to help couples on the brink of divorce to gain clarity and confidence about a direction for the relationship, based on a deeper understanding of your relationship and its possibilities for the future.

About Brown Counseling & Coaching

Lee has been working with couples for decades and has a great love for marriage. He has worked with military couples, led marriage conferences and retreats. Lee has been a leader with the marriage ministry in their local church –the passion is to see marriages strengthened and couples thrive in their relationship. Rebecca is often right alongside Lee whether coaching couples in the office or leading retreats and ministry opportunities. 

 Lee and Rebecca can often be found teaching Marriage Enrichment weekends together. They are available to speak to groups on subjects related to healthy relationships and marriage enrichment. If you are seeking a speaker for your group, or for a marriage retreat or weekend workshop contact either Lee or Rebecca for availability.

Leemon “Lee” Brown, LMFT

Lee is ready to help you with  relationship woes that may be plaguing you. He and Rebecca (his wife of 35 years) have experienced the great and awesome moments of marriage as well as some of the heart break that comes along. It is in this experience of his own marriage as well as working with couples for the past 27 years (especially in the military),  and in Jacksonville since 2009 that invites you to the counseling room. He has vast experience with the military community, having served in uniform for more than 30 years –experiencing individuals, couples and families in some of the most stressful and trying times of life. 

Lee has years of experience with the Prevention and Relationship Education Program (PREP),  has training in Gottman techniques, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and is a Master Trainer in  ‘RelateWell’ and other evidenced-based family therapy theories and interventions. He is also a certified  Discernment Counselor, a method to help couples on the brink of divorce to gain clarity and confidence about a direction for the relationship and its possibilities for the future. 

In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife of 35 years, being an active member of his local church, and most recently enjoying time with grandchildren.

Lee is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT); he has a Masters Degree in counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family from Jacksonville University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX.
